Design of wire harnesses and installation of the wire harness in a
monument that would ultimately go into a commercial aircraft while
meeting vendor, OEM, FAA, and internal requirements.
Works on an Integrated Project team ensuring wire harness design and
electrical component integration are compatible with surrounding
mechanical structure and water systems.
Directs the work of outsource resources assigned on projects in electrical integration areas.
Prepare, modify, and release drawings created in CAD (NX) to verify fit, form and function of mechanical and electrical designs.
Design brackets and fixations for electrical components and wiring as needed
Evaluate materials and parts for use in new designs including communicating with current and new suppliers.
Make drawing notes decisions including proper use of industry specifications
Prepare production drawings using ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards
Provide engineering support for procurement, manufacturing, receiving (QA), and certification
Manage technical content of design package until sellable inventory is in stock then support post-production engineering
